The rules, safeguards, and public-record principles of HYDE Park

HYDE Park public record

A park for civic words that endure.

HYDE Park is a moderated public discussion space. Publication creates a permanent public record: authors cannot edit or delete published Hydes, Rallies, Parades, or their attachments. Safety and administrative enforcement remains available when required.

HYDE Park Charter

HYDE Park exists for public civic speech, discussion, disagreement, commemoration, and collective reflection. The integrity of the public record matters: when a speaker publishes content, that content becomes part of HYDE Park and remains available as a record of what was said.

  • Authors cannot edit or delete published content or attachments.
  • Images and YouTube links form part of the same permanent record.
  • Publication is public and may be discovered through feeds, search, profiles, and shared links.
  • HYDE Park may restrict, remove, or preserve content as necessary for safety, moderation, legal obligations, or record integrity.

Community Rules

Speak as though your words will remain visible—because they will. Debate ideas firmly, but do not use HYDE Park to harass, threaten, impersonate, exploit, or dehumanise people or groups.

  • Do not publish unlawful, dangerous, fraudulent, or sexually exploitative material.
  • Do not disclose private personal information without a legitimate basis or consent.
  • Do not manipulate civic features, ranks, reports, or jury processes.
  • Use accurate titles, relevant classifications, and genuine supporting context.

Moderation & Enforcement

Text and attached images are checked before publication. Some material may be rejected automatically or held for review. Reports, administrators, and Jury Gardens can lead to additional review and enforcement.

Possible outcomes include warnings, reduced visibility, removal, holds, suspension, or permanent account action. Administrative or safety intervention does not create an author right to edit or delete the affected public record.

Rallies & Parades: Digital-only

Rallies and Parades are civic experiences that happen within HYDE Park. They are not tools for organising real-world gatherings.

  • Do not provide physical meeting locations, routes, transport, equipment, logistics, or real-world gathering instructions.
  • Event titles, descriptions, images, and YouTube links are subject to the same permanence and moderation rules as Hydes.
  • Participation reflects digital civic support, opposition, celebration, or boycott inside HYDE Park.

Civic Ranks & Jury Gardens

Civic ranks recognise constructive participation and are not a guarantee of influence. Jury Gardens uses protected, conflict-aware review flows for eligible cases. Arbiters must avoid conflicts of interest and follow the review rules shown in each case.

Safety & Reporting

Use the reporting tools on content or accounts when you believe a rule or safety standard has been violated. Give clear, good-faith context. Deliberately false or abusive reporting may itself lead to enforcement.

For an immediate threat or emergency, contact the relevant local emergency services rather than relying on HYDE Park reporting.

Legal documents

Read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. They identify Barracuda MMC as the operator and take effect when HYDE Park publicly launches.
